(Sanneh) THE DONNAS (Wednesday) This cheerfully retro hard-rock band survived a less-than-triumphant stint with Atlantic Records, which tried — and failed, mainly — to make the Donnas a mainstream sensation.
In a hopeful concatenation of events last week, the world learned of the settlement in Poland between the Solidarity movement and the government there at about the same time it learned that President Reagan had survived his bullet wound and was cheerfully talking with his family and doctors.
