The phrase "characteristics of evidence" is grammatically correct and can be used in written English.
It refers to the qualities or features of evidence that help to determine its reliability or validity. Example: "The prosecutor presented a convincing argument, citing the strong characteristics of the evidence, including DNA analysis and eyewitness testimony."
Table 1 summarises the characteristics of evidence included in the map.
