Areas of high mosquito density could be identified through factors such as housing characteristics, distribution of breeding containers and so on if this information is available from past surveys.
The results of such processes may be influenced by a number of factors such as selection intensity, the characteristics of the breeding system, the pollination biology and the behaviour of pollinators and the size of the area influenced by in situ management, among others.
