It is based on three stages: FB devolatilization, non-catalytic air/steam reforming of the gas coming from the devolatilizer, and chemical filtering of the gas and gasification of the char in a moving bed supplied with the char generated in the devolatilizer.
Owing to the different flame-retardant behaviors as illustrated in Fig. 9, the char generated from the self-assembled FGO coating enriched the surface of the PVA matrix, rather than being non-uniformly distributed over the entire matrix.
As thrombus and char generate additional impedance and impair energy transfer to the tissue, the avoidance of thrombus and char formations would allow continuous energy transfer and lesion formation.
The chars generated from coal decomposition at the first stage were either taken out for analysis, or directly entered the second stage of reactor for in-situ gasification in steam.
