The change in sensitization to food allergens of the participating children during the age period studied will be presented elsewhere.
Looking further into the OVA adjuvant-free model, we also tested whether varying the site of sensitization induced changes in allergic sensitization; the differences between i.p. and s.c. routes of delivery were examined using Protocol 1B and 1C (Fig. 1).
This peripheral process may induce secondary central changes resulting in sensitization of nociceptive neurons at the trigeminal nucleus and/or higher brain structures [3, 4].
In addition, we failed to observe differences between NR1DATCre and WT mice with regard to long-term changes in cocaine sensitivity following sensitization [11], and to reinstatement of CPP following extinction [10].

Studies in the headaches field disclosed changes in pain sensitivity that were interpreted as reflecting central sensitization.

Changes in locomotor function, sensitization to pain and depression/anxiety-like symptoms were found in their high-fat-induced model of OA.
METH induces long-term changes in behavior, including sensitization and dependence [ 4, 5], as well as deficits in cognitive function [ 6- 8], and causes psychiatric symptoms such as hallucinations and delusions [ 9].
