In nuclear energy applications, xenon is used in bubble chambers, probes, and in other areas where a high molecular weight and inert nature is desirable.
The migration assay, adapted from Malinda et al (1999) involved the use of a 48-well microchemotaxis chamber (Neuro Probe, Cabin John, MD, USA) with 8 μm pore size polycarbonate membranes (Neuro Probe) coated with 100 μg ml−1 human collagen type I or IV.
