Mitral inflow measurements of early filling velocity (Emax), deceleration slope of early filling velocity (Edec slope), and deceleration time of early filling flow velocity (Edec time) were obtained using pulsed Doppler, with the sample volume placed at the tips of mitral leaflets from an apical four-chamber orientation.
