Six fault causes were selected, such as excessive uptilt (EU), excessive downtilt (ED), reduction in cell power (RP), coverage hole (CH), mobility, and intersystem interference (II).
The ABSs can be configured by either macro or micro cells, and different ABSs patterns and density can be configured by each individual cell to offer various levels of protection to UEs influenced by co-channel interference ([16] Ch. 31)[22-24].
In this letter we show that the use of slightly broadband laser sources like multimode alexandrite lasers for CH PLIF bears the danger of interferences from formaldehyde.
This scheme falls into the category of interference rejection combining (IRC) [56]([57] Ch. 10).
While this can create some interference in the detection of CH, we demonstrate that OH lines can be avoided, if desired, or excited, if desired.

CH is commonly adopted in industrial communications to increase robustness against interference and to provide an additional protection against eavesdroppers.

Since all CHs transmit on the same time-frequency ressources, MRs must be able to cancel interference; see Section 4.1 for details.
The use of almost blank subframes (ABSs) is standardized in 3GPP LTE Rel-10 as a part of the enhanced inter-cell interference coordination (eICIC) framework to protect UEs that are subject to excessive co-channel interference ([16] Ch. 31.2.2) [18,22-24].
