The research was supported by Ontario Research Fund (GL2-01-030), Canada Research Chair Program (#225404), and Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI #29272 and CFI #225404).
The first network was a simplex (serial) model involving caudal perirhinal cortex and successive projections to lateral entorhinal cortex, CA1, dorsal subiculum, and the anterior thalamic nuclei (χ = 4.57, df = 6, p =.60; CFI = 1, RMSEA = 0.00).
The resulting network created a model with good fit (χ = 1.39, df = 3, p =.71; CFI = 1, RMSEA = 0.00).
The second model involved additional projections from the dorsal subiculum to the prelimbic cortex and from the prelimbic cortex to the anterior thalamic nuclei (χ = 7.83, df = 9, p =.55; CFI = 1, RMSEA = 0.00).
The goodness-of-fit statistics obtained indicated that the measurement model fit the data well: χ2/df = 1.96, CFI = .98, NFI = .96, GFI = .92, AGFI = .90, and RMSEA = .06.06
The final model fit was excellent, χ 69) = 64.93; RMSEA =.00, CFI > 1.00, TLI > 1.00, and not significantly different from that of the saturated model (p = .72).72
The model, which had good fit indices (χ = 4.87, df = 5, p =.43; CFI = 1.00; RMSEA = 0.00), included four significant pathways (all p ≤.004).
Similarly to the international findings, this structure showed insufficient improvement (χ2 = 1005.62 p <.001, df = 431, CFI = 0.82, RMSEA = 0.05).
First, the 38 items three-correlated-factor solution was tested, showing insufficient results (χ2 = 1516.60 p <.001, df = 662, CFI = 0.79, RMSEA = 0.05).
Additionally, we observed that model fit was very good (χ 2/DF = 1.078; CFI = 0.999; GFI = 994; RMSEA = 0.014) for the final moderated model.
Experience: The model fit for experience was equally good (χ 2/DF = 1.605; CFI =0.964).
