The landmark Global Strategy for Asthma Management and Prevention report published in 2014, and updated in 2015, focuses not only on the broad range of available evidence about asthma diagnosis, assessment and treatment, but also on providing practice-oriented and patient-centred recommendations in an implementation-ready format.

To ensure policies and recommendations remain consumer-centred, each Model of Care is informed by consumer and/or carer input at every stage.
