Compared to other recently published assemblies of CDCs in filamentous fungi, A. arborescens has a relatively small number of CDCs (one) and the size (1.0Mb) is small.
According to current models, cDCs derive from committed cDC progenitors that develop in the bone marrow (BM) and travel via the blood to lymphoid organs and nonlymphoid tissues, where they differentiate into mature cDCs 6– 9.
