We categorized the percentage of tumor cell nuclei positively stained for ER as a five-category variable (<1%, 1 to 39%, 40 to 59%, 60 to 79%, 80 to 100%) and used previously published categories for the ER H-score [ 21].
In general, the exposure level was lower among those who dropped out, as indicated by a higher percentage categorized as unexposed, a lower percentage of women applying pesticides, and a lower percentage recommended to have leave from work (Table 1).
Respondents were asked to describe the referral pattern of patients (self-referral, e.g., directly to IR, referral by gynaecologist, or referral by general practitioner) categorized as percentages adding up to 100%.
