Inherently Safer Design strategies are categorized into four major divisions: Intensify, Substitute, Moderate, and Simplify, as described by CCPS.
The nature of injury or illness identifies the principal physical characteristic(s) of the work-related injury or illness; it is categorized into one of eight Divisions and assigned a nature of injury or illness code [ 25].
