Out of 840 procedures followed for an average of 17.7 months (range 1 41 months) there were 57 reported adverse events (AEs), including 37 in group A and 20 in group B (6% and 8.9% of total patients, resp .. AEs were categorized, frequency and outcomes recorded, and they were adjudicated to a relationship to the procedure (see Table 4 for details).
Broadly, we can categorize frequency domain based methods in to two categories as mentioned below. .
Participants were asked to categorize frequency of parental/caregiver abuse (0, 1, 2, 3-5, 6-10, or more than 10 times), and we dichotomized abuse into present or absent by selecting cut points approximating prevalences in the Adverse Childhood Experiences questionnaire in a multi-state, population based sample (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention CDCC) 2010).

We categorized seizure frequency as seizure-free, as rare (less than 1 per month), or as frequent (more than 1 per month).
We categorized the frequency of use into "ever" and "never".
For each gene, variants were categorized into frequency bins as described above.
We categorized testing frequency according to the most recent clinical practice guidelines (web appendix 2): Guideline recommended: up to two tests per year, or tests obtained six or more months apart Frequent: three to four tests per year, or tests obtained at least three but less than six months apart Excessive: at least five tests per year, or tests obtained less than three months apart.
Similarly, the OR of being in a higher category of headache frequency, categorized according to monthly headache frequencies, was 3.42 (p <0.001) for patients with normal AHI, 3.29 (p < 0.001) for patients with OSA, and 3.00 (p < 0.001) for patients with other sleep disorders compared to controls, after adjustment for age, gender and education (Table 4).
Also the adjusted ORs of being in a higher category of headache frequency categorized according to monthly headache frequency (<1 day, 1-7 days, 8-14 days, >14 days), were similar among patients with mild, moderate or severe obstructive sleep apnea compared to patients with normal AHI (Table 6).
