An amorphous catalyst prepared from zinc oxide on silica has been found to be an efficient catalyst with excellent catalytic life.
As a result of the special properties of the present material, the hydrothermal stability and catalytic life of the material is highly improved in the catalytic cracking reactions.
The results show that during the FCC particles catalytic life the concentrations of the poisonous metals Fe, Ni, Ca, and V increase with age and also that the different mobility of each element leads to observable differences in their 3 D distribution.
