The sequence showed homology to putative GH20 proteins from ascomycetes such as Leptosphaeria maculans (CBX95932) and Trichoderma reesei (EGR50812), although in these cases, sequence identity levels were only about 30%.
In some families, members are very similar to each other, while in other cases, sequence identity between members is quite low.
In many cases sequence identity of ≥ 98%, based on comparison of full-length sequence as described in Table 3, was sufficient to classify cDNA sequences: CH501 as WC1-1, CH496 as WC1-4, CH505 as WC1-9 and CH486 as WC1-11.

In this case, sequence identity at the nucleotide level is very high, which gives rise to gene trees with low resolution, a fact that further complicates the task of inferring the strain tree.
In many cases, the sequence identity of the Helitrons is exceptionally high compared with the divergence of the hosts (fig. 2).
For 1 2 orthologs as well as for the other X-X orthologs, the cases where sequence identity and expression context conservation were correlated were not significantly over-represented (see Figs. 5 and 6).
The absence of any identifiable homologs in Genbank resulted in the ESTs being classified as either 'noncoding' as in the case of sequence identity to intergenic regions or 'unknown' in the event that no significant sequence identity was observed (e-value threshold of 1e-02).
However, in each of these three cases the sequence identities of the two copies are extremely high, 100%, 99%, and 100%, respectively.
The integrated approach validated here may be applicable to additional cases where the sequence identity of the GPCR of interest and the existing experimental structures is low.
Previous studies [5] have shown that in cases of poor sequence identity, structure-based phylogenies generate better models of evolution of proteins than the traditional sequence-based methods.
The fifteen predictors were assessed on ten challenging local alignments optimization problems of both α helix and β sheets, among which challenging CASP cases with no sequence identity between the template and the target.

Since I tried Ludwig back in 2017, I have been constantly using it in both editing and translation. Ever since, I suggest it to my translators at ProSciEditing.
