In stage-by-stage analyses, the recurrence rate of G2 cases (50%%) tended to be higher in comparison with that of G0 and G1 cases for Stage II (25 and 20%%, respectively, p = 0.069), but not for Stage III (p = 0.414).
When set to a tolerable threshold difference of 7 days, when one side has a 5% significance level and a test power of 90%, the required number of cases in the two cohorts was 80. Similarly, the required number of cases for stage III pressure ulcers was 60.

Array CGH at 1 MB resolution was performed on 71 ER-positive primary breast cancer DNA samples from the two age cohorts: 27 younger cases and 44 older cases, matched for stage and histology (nodal status, grade, PR status).
