In the case of task-difficulty, those tasks with high or medium difficulty were targeted by an average of 75% of the recommendations, whereas tasks with low difficulty were targeted by the remaining 25% recommendations.
This is the case of tasks where humans are asked to choose the best item among several options [56],[56].
In addition to simply tethering the nascent chain in an environment where TM1 reorientation is facilitated, in the case of TASK-1 and Kcv, ongoing protein synthesis may also provide additional topological information, for example other TMs that might influence the fate of TM1 (see also [ 14]).
While these studies have typically reported reduced activation in the ASD group which is thought to reflect abnormalities in ToM, perception of social interactions, and, particularly in the case of task-independent or resting state studies, internally directed thought processes more generally, we have found increased rest activation with greater autistic traits in the typical population.
In our study we employed the DMT (a visuo-spatial task) as a secondary task, because this task has previously been found to increase participants' tendency to rely on heuristic responses in the case of tasks with a heuristic-normative conflict [ 38, 39].
Other lines of research [ 38, 39] demonstrated that in the case of tasks which involved a conflict between a heuristic and a normatively correct response, employing a dual-task load decreased normative performance, and increased participants' tendency to give a heuristic response.
As we described above, in the case of tasks with a conflict between a heuristic and a normatively correct response, it has been demonstrated that burdening participants' WM with a secondary task leads to an increase in heuristic and a reduction in correct responding [ 38, 39].
In previous studies, apparently similar cases of task switching have been associated with widespread recruitment of a fronto-parietal, executive control network (Sohn et al., 2000; Braver et al., 2003; Monsell, 2003; Yeung et al., 2006; Kim et al., 2011), and it is unclear why no similar activity was seen in our data.
A case study of task allocation and scheduling algorithms is also presented that aim to optimize the schedule feasibility and energy consumed by the processor and memory module in the multi-core platform.
It may be that in this case, performance of task B on day 2 re-engages the motor memory of task A, which then becomes susceptible to interference.
