Recent in vitro and ex vivo studies have shown that CMS may increase the penetration of cargo compounds through the stratum corneum into the viable epidermis and even into the dermis, potentially even more effectively than the more established class of solid lipid nanoparticles under the same conditions [6 8].
For example, Parameter values and references cargos contain Compound identifiers, whereas Model PMML cargo contains Property and Descriptor identifiers (Figure 7, dashed arrows).
This drug carrier (M6P-HSA) has been used to cargo therapeutic compounds to aHSCs in liver fibrosis [76 79], leading to enhanced drug efficacy and minimized drug toxicity.
