An REA system designed around the high-capacity speciation cartridges can be used to measure NH3 fluxes from cattle feedlots and other strong sources.
The predicted VLE, enthalpy of absorption, heat capacity and speciation for the MEA H2O CO2 system are compared favorably to experimental data.

Two possibilities are plausible: 1) the common ancestor to both species had regenerative capacities, but only one descendant retained such properties; and 2) the common ancestor had no such regenerative capacities and that speciation somehow resulted in the acquisition of regenerative properties in one, but not both descendants.
