"We sat on the floor, and all I could think of was getting out of there quickly to avoid getting the parking ticket that was usually involved in any trip to the Stanford campus," jokes Moritz, a veteran of meetings at the university of Silicon Valley stars.
And no one seems offended by an old campus joke--that many women come to get their MRS. degree.
Colleagues on campus sometimes joke about how his blood runs blue, referring both to Columbia's school color and to his overarching loyalty.
"What if they make their way to the campus?" she joked.
"I imagine in the future people will say, 'Where is the river on the California campus?'" Hennessy joked, to appreciative laughter from the audience.
In Providence, the Gilbreths lived so close to campus, Frank joked, that Lillian "could go to class and if a child fell out of the window, catch him before he landed on the ground".
There he is on campus, laughing, joking, having fun.
(One joke on campus is that the Hoyas are playing "Champions Bar and Grill" next November). Luckily, the Hall of Fame voters see through such a tactic.
