The report was released by the UK Phenology Network, which is now run as the Nature's Calendar project by the Woodland Trust and the Centre for Ecology and Hydrology.
The Nature's Calendar project invites people across the country to log their first sightings of autumnal tints on ash, beech, field maple, horse chestnut, oak, rowan, silver birch and sycamore trees.
The observations submitted to the trust's Nature's Calendar project also show this has been one of the best years for autumn fruit and berries in the last decade.

It was uncommon for carers to request calendars despite the Calendar Project being advertised in the waiting room.
Carer and AMSWS staff views of the calendar project were collected in semi-structured interviews lasting between 10 20 minutes.
