By using the trim and fill method, we showed that, if the publication bias was the only source of the funnel plot asymmetry, it needed seven more studies to be symmetrical (Figure 4).
Adding the study by using the trim-and-fill method reduced the 2-year PFS (65.9%; 95% CI, 60.2 71.2) (Fig. 6).
After adjusted by using the Trim and Filling method, the pooled OR was 1.77 (95 % CI: 1.57, 2.00), which was near to the original OR (1.73, 95 % CI: 1.64, 1.82).

For global assemblies only a digital normalization procedure was first applied to the trimmed sequences by using the script normalize_by_kmer_coverage.pl, which is part of the Trinity software package, with parameters "kmer_size = 25 --min_kmer_cov = 2".
The mean effect sizes of psychological well-being and depression were therefore recalculated by imputing missing studies using the Trim and Fill method.
One μg of mRNA was used for first-strand cDNA synthesis and amplification according to the Mint-Universal cDNA Synthesis Kit user manual (Evrogen, Moscow, Russia), followed by a normalization reaction using the Trimmer Kit (Evrogen).
The reads were processed into separate sequences according to bar codes and trimmed by using the fastx toolbox software (http://cancan.cshl.edu/labmembers/gordon/fastx_toolkit/).edu/labmembers/gordon/fastx_toolkit/
The contaminating vector sequences and low quality shotgun reads, without at least 100 bp with phred note ≥ 16 were trimmed by using the program LUCY [ 129].
Adaptors were trimmed by using the default parameters of VecScreen, which is NCBI BLASTn (14 ) with specialized parameters designed for adaptor removal.
