Four novel crystal forms were identified (three for PR8 NS1 ED and one for Alb/76 NS1 ED) and solved by x-ray crystallography using molecular replacement (Table 1).
Phasing of the diffraction data was done either by SAD phasing using SHELXD/E or by molecular replacement using PHASER.
The complex structures (XylC Tris, XylC xylobiose and XylC xylose) were determined by using the MR (molecular replacement) method with PHASER [ 22].
Data were processed using XDS and the phases solved by molecular replacement using Phaser v1.3 (E09) and v2.1.4 (EP6b_B01).

The Tiam1 PH CC Ex structure was determined by molecular replacement using MOLREP with the Tiam2 structure used as a search model.
