Interestingly, graphene patterned into nanoribbons, referred as graphene nanoribbons (GNRs), has been demonstrated to possess a bandgap opening made possible by tuning the ribbon width [5, 8, 9].
In addition, the results show that a larger FOM can be obtained by tuning the stub width than tuning its length.
Peak energies between 125 and 154meV are obtained by tuning the well width and Ge content of the single active quantum well.
