The students were equally distributed by the six grades, and the number of boys and girls was equivalent in all grade levels, χ 2 5) = 9.046, p = .107.107
By averaging the two grades to make one grade, the student will not feel as if the teacher's grade is more important than their own.
As test items are most often described by two parameters, difficulty (fraction correct) and discrimination (correlation of individual item scores with subjects' total test score), Figure 5 shows the distribution of these two parameters graphed by the two grade bands.
For the first, we have introduced quantitative and computer-assisted histopathological measurement methods by which the extent of the three grading sub-features – nuclear pleomorphism, mitotic activity and tubular differentiation – can be expressed in numerical terms (Haapasalo et al, 1989; Kronqvist et al, 1995, 1997, 1999; Collan et al, 1996; Kuopio and Collan, 1996).
