Passive capillary flow is an important consideration for disposable polymeric microfluidic devices [2, 10 12], where flow can be modified by adjusting the surface wettability or by incorporating surface roughness features on the interior surface of the microchannels.
In these cases, the adherence of the coating must be attained by others means, either from a chemical point of view by modifying the surface wettability, or from a photonic one.
The wettability of the PEDOT PSS/oblique ITO/glass samples is inversely proportional to the wettability of the oblique ITO/glass samples, so the vertical distributions of the hydrophilic PSS polymers and hydrophobic PEDOT polymers can be manipulated by varying the surface wettability of the oblique ITO/glass sample.
We have modified the speed of microfluidic flow by varying the surface wettability and designed surface roughness on the bottom wall of microchannel, and Saha et al. [11] theoretically predicted that the channel walls and pillars would have significant effects on fluid flow, with the contributions being 1-3% for the side walls, 5-13% for the pillars and 85-89% from the top and bottom walls.
The contact angle is proportional to the size of the grains in the MAPbI3 thin film, indicating that the nucleation and crystal growth of a MAPbI3 thin film can be controlled by varying the surface wettability of the PEDOT PSS/oblique ITO/glass.
Thus, nanostructures can improve the heat transfer rate by effectively changing the surface wettability which directly affects the liquid-vapor phase change process.
This major improvement affects the surface tension (ST), it was increased by 40% and the surface wettability was considerably improved.
The difference in bacteria growth can be explained by the difference in the surface wettability.
