The images were motion corrected by realignment to the middle volume of the 4D dataset, smoothed using a 6-mm full-width at half maximum smoothing kernel, and non-linearly registered via the participant's T1-weighted structural image to the MNI-152 template.
The remaining functional images were corrected for differences in slice acquisition timing, which was followed by realignment to the middle image in the initial scan to correct for inter-scan movement and to remove signals correlated with head motion.
