Indeed, PINK1 and Parkin could physically interact with each other, and Parkin could be phosphorylated on Thr175, Thr217 and Ser65 by PINK1; more recent efforts have revealed that this phosphorylation is required for Parkin's translocation (Kim et al., 2008).
