For each group, change in weight (kg) over time (weeks) had begun to plateau by the study endpoint, a pattern echoed by the long-term extension trials of exenatide [ 23].
Overall, the clinical trial had a very good adherence rate during the 3 years of follow-up with 78% of participants adherent to at least 80% of their scheduled visits, more than three-quarters of randomly selected participants having detectable isoniazid metabolites in their urine (Table 1) and 91% having reached a known study endpoint by 36 months of follow-up.
Eighteen (36.0%) had been discharged by the study endpoint.

Finally, the relationship of functional impairment to clinical improvement was examined in a post hoc analysis of treatment responders versus non-responders by stratifying WFIRS-P scores based upon treatment response (defined by study endpoint scores on the ADHD-RS-IV and the Clinical Global Impressions Improvement Scale [CGI-I], a physician-rated measure of global improvement).
Overall improvements from baseline to endpoint were seen in the Tension/Worry Scale and School/Missed-Doses Worry Scale, with the latter possibly due to a slight reduction in number of missed doses reported by caregivers at study endpoint.
Improvement beyond BCG is suggested by further reduction of lung PA, hilar LN involvement, lung CFU, wasting and CRP levels, and more stable levels of MCV and MCH by study endpoint.
By study endpoint, 34% of patients who had added exenatide BID to insulin glargine had achieved an HbA1c ≤7%, a therapeutic target consistent with ADA guidelines, while 31% of patients in the other treatment sequence also achieved the same goal.
