From the Global Estimates of Cancer (GLOBOCAN) 2002, the incidence rate of prostate cancer in Singapore (ASR of 13.7 per 100,000) was much lower than that of Western countries such as the United States (ASR of 118.4 per 100,000), but high compared to other Asian countries such as China (ASR of 1.7 per 100,000) and India (ASR of 4.6 per 100,000) [ 3].
The low efficiency is mostly due to a low kcat, while KM is comparable to AnMan5A and AnMan5C but higher compared to TrMan5A (Table 2).> -wrap-foot> aData from (Rosengren et al. 2012) When incubated over night with linear ivory nut mannan and manno-oligosaccharides M3-M6 AnM2n5B generasendM2 as end product in contrast to AnMan5A, AnMan5C and TrMan5A, as analysed with TLC (data not shown).
In Group 3 and Group 4, these levels were lower compared to Group 2 but higher compared to Group 1 (P < 0.05).
Tumour blood flow was similar to that of blood flow to muscle, lower compared to that of brain, kidney, spleen and small intestine, but higher compared to that of skin.
The topical group without rinsing had significantly lower BV/TV (54%) compared to the long soaking time group (p = 0.022) but higher compared to both control groups (p <0.001 and p = 0.01, respectively) (Tables 5 and 6, Figure 5).
These estimate compares well with the national level rates (47% Vs 46%) observed in the most recent demographic and Health survey but higher compared to the rates obtained from the study region (37%) in the same survey [ 8].
Tukey's multiple comparison test showed that the mean TAS level was highest in Group 1 and lowest in Group 2. In Group 3 and Group 4, the mean TAS levels were lower compared to Group 1 but higher compared to Group 2 (P < 0.05).
The mean PACIC scores of CVD patients were lower than COPD patients in the Netherlands [ 32], lower compared to patients with diabetes in both the Netherlands [ 24] and the US [ 19], but higher compared to the scores of osteoarthritis patients in Germany [ 20].
Concerning the VO2 kinetics, the observed τ1 mean value is lower than values obtained for to 100 and 400 m front crawl all-out efforts [ 38, 39] but higher compared to the 200 m front crawl all-out efforts [ 2, 40].
The baseline findings, when girls were aged 13.5 years, are slightly lower than previous cross-sectional estimates among 11 14 year-old girls in Canada (527 min/day or 65% of wear time) [ 17], and 12.5-13.5 year-old girls from several European countries (534 min/day or 70% of wear time) [ 15] but higher compared to 12 15 year-old girls in the United States (462 min/day or 55% of wear time) [ 16].
The UMR estimated in this paper indicates a decline in the UMR for Uganda but still high compared to target rate.
