The differences between the ability of absolute and relative differences in the characteristic to characterize behavior were not large, but absolute differences in the characteristic consistently described agents' discriminatory responses better than did relative differences.
Thus, relatively high statistical power in this experiment provided statistically significant overall differences between slopes across a shift of 20°C and considerable range in humidity, but absolute differences in slope were relatively small, having little to no effect on the validity of the technique we employed (Table 3; Figure 2; Figure 3).
In CFAS II, there were differences in non-participation between geographic areas ranging from 39.5 to 46.5%, but absolute differences in CFAS I were negligible (test for interaction P < 0.01).
