A four-alarm fire last night in Queens left one victim dead, another critically burned head to toe, and seven firefighters with minor injuries, fire officials said.
Ron escaped from the Marriott in the World Trade Center -- after stopping to help a woman who had been burned head to foot -- but his sister, Ruth McCourt, and his niece Juliana, 4, were in the second plane, which hit the south tower of the World Trade Center.
At a beautiful moon bridge, he passed a naked, living woman who seemed to have been burned from head to toe and was red all over.
"Hundreds of people are burned from head to toe," said Dr. Steven Stern at St . Vincents Hospital in the Greenwich Village neighborhood of lower Manhattan.
The two were found a couple of hours later, walking along a road several miles away, burned from head to toe.
