QuanTAS-PCR scored two samples as having averaged mutant allele burden values equal to 113.7% and 148.7%.
Based on the body burden values, the embryos seemed to uptake p,p′-DDE more readily then DDT.
The formula allowes the monitoring of possible variations within the resulting mutation burden values of the replicates of each sample.
The two quantitative tests generated comparable mutant-allele burden values and the resulting values were very well correlated (Additional file 3).
We would suggest that analysts of CNV datasets greet large overall burden values with scepticism, and to attempt to falsify possibly misleading results by systematically tuning QC procedures.

The consortium met face-to-face to develop recommendations according to GRADE, based on the quality of evidence and the balance between the benefits and harm, taking into account burden, values, preferences, and costs (see examples in Table 1).
