This approach has been successfully applied in grapevine studies providing evidence for the role of VvMyb genes in the anthocyanin content of berry skin [ 26, 27], VvDXS in Muscat flavour [ 28], VvPel and VvGaI1 in berry texture [ 29, 30], VvAGL11 in seedlessness [ 31], and VvTFL1A in flowering time, berry weight and bunch width [ 32].
