Cells that had reached the bulb radially migrated throughout the bulb (figure 1g).
They form, in the ectodermal layer, isolated basi-epithelial spots concentrated in the more distal part of the bulb and in the tentacle base, and also more concentrated on the abaxial side of the bulb (figure 3B).
By contrast, MLANA was expressed in more that 60% of both epidermal and ORS PAX3-positive melanocytes, compared to 36% of those in the matrix of the hair bulb (Figure 3D).
The expression was prominent in the glomerular layer and mitral cell layer of the olfactory bulb (Figure 3A), purkinje cells in the cerebellum (Figure 3B), the CA region of the hippocampus, the granular cell layer of the dentate gyrus (Figure 3C), and layer II of the entorhinal cortex (Figure 3D).
Since Pofut1/Tgfb3-Cre mice displayed smaller hair follicles than those of control mice at P30 (Figure 4G, H), back skin sections from control and mutant mice were immunostained for Ki67, a proliferating nuclear antigen, to examine the hair bulb (Figure 8A).
It is also expressed in adult lung, spleen, testis, cerebellum, and the olfactory bulb (figure 4c d).
Whenever a co-module detected by the PPA contained one of these four CNS organs (e.g., cerebral cortex and olfactory bulb, Figure 3C), the genes from that co-module were also expressed in the three other CNS organs, although sometimes just below the threshold level that PPA used to add the organ into co-modules (see Methods).
The canal containing the first cranial nerve (I) of Acrocanthosaurus is oriented anteriorly, spanning the area between the cerebrum and the olfactory bulbs (Figures 17, 18).
Participants may have responded by unconsciously anchoring their estimates to this value, compressing their predictions into the relatively low range of an incandescent bulb.This suggests an obvious criticism: by providing the light-bulb figure, the researchers primed their subjects to underestimate energy consumption.
