Consequently, the identified land use/land cover features for this study from the thematic map are vegetation area (cropland and forest plantation), water bodies (stream and lakes), built-up areas/settlements as well as open bare soils surfaces/outcrops areas (Fig. 11).

Parametric studies show that both the wave characteristics and the soil properties can affect the built-up of residual pore pressure in loose seabed foundation.
