For the vast majority of depleted populations, the link between seasonal feeding and breeding concentrations remains unknown.
High and significant degrees of population structure (FST∼0.1 0.28) among breeding concentrations have been detected in the North Pacific, reflecting long-term population isolation between continental and oceanic grounds proximate to Western Mexico and the Hawaiian Archipelago, respectively [19], [21], [29].
