Coupling this with regional myocardial mechanics computed for left branch bundle block and biventricular pacing showed good agreement with published regional fiber strains measured in dogs by using magnetic resonance imaging tagging.
The diagnosis of STEMI was based on a suggestive history, with ST elevation > 2 mm in ≥2 precordial leads, ST elevation > 1 mm in ≥2 limb leads, or new left branch bundle block on the 12-lead electrocardiogram with a concomitant increase of cardiac markers ≥2 times the upper limit of normal.
In our study, there were clinical features, such as new palpitations, new exertional dyspnoea, fatigue, chest pain, and documented ventricular or atrial premature beats as well as branch bundle block and other ECG changes that supported the clinical suspicion of myocarditis.
In one, calcifications at the bundle of His and calcium deposits at the left and right bundle branches were noted [ 199], whereas in the other extensive fibrosis in the terminal portion of the branching bundle and the initial segments of the left and right bundles were described [ 20].
Thick, branching bundles gave rise to thinner filaments that ramified in the margins of the larger bundles.
