Our most novel, and potentially important, finding was that if C>B, and producers and nonproducers coexisted at equilibrium, nonproducers were almost always found on the edge (boundary) of clusters of producers; more specifically, nonproducers were found between clusters of producers and areas of open space (i.e., open slots; Figures 1, 2 and 3).
In order to investigate the homogeneity (h) of catchments and overcome incompatibility that may occur on boundaries of cluster groups, a fuzzy expert system (FES) approach is used which incorporates physical and climatic characteristics, as well as flood seasonality and geographic location.
Boundaries of cluster positions for each marker class were determined and a custom Perl script was used to convert a matrix of theta values exported from GenomeStudio into actual genotype scores.
This corresponds to the neuroanatomical boundaries of Cluster N in night-migratory European robins and garden warblers (Mouritsen et al., 2005; Liedvogel et al., 2007a), showing that the part of the forebrain that is active at night in meadow pipits is Cluster N. Cluster N showed high ZENK expression in birds tested during the night [mean pixel density 118 ± 16 (SD)].
Two thresholds are set: (1) cluster score threshold T, which is the MatrixAligner score above which the two matrices being compared are deemed to be similar, and (2) radius margin R, which is a secondary score threshold used to determine whether those TFs at the boundary of the cluster join the cluster.
The method was also extended to detect the boundaries of clusters in 2-D digital images acquired from fluidized beds.
Such systems may produce very poor results if the arbitrary boundaries of the grading system do not coincide with the natural boundaries of clusters of cases.

On the other hand, cooperative communications in such clustering EH-WSN are easier to understand: the dash-dotted lines represent the boundaries of clusters, and the black-colored nodes denote the cluster heads, while the straight lines with arrow are data transmission procedures, as is shown in Fig. 1.
In some cases, the boundaries of clusters detected in all three datasets coincide (Fig. 5).
