Based on this estimated effective population size, we calculated that a past population bottleneck took place around 191 generations or 2,461 years ago (median value, 10th-90th percentiles = 2,056-2,892) and the pre-bottleneck effective population size (N1) was of 21,442 individuals 10th-90thh percentiles = 10,905-38,780).
Then, we used an ABC framework to identify the most probable among different colonization scenarios and to infer several key parameters of the foundation history of olives in East Australia and Hawaii (e.g. duration of bottlenecks, effective number of founders).
The choice and utilisation of broodstock also represent a crucial stage in enhancement programmes, and considerations of bottleneck effects arising from reduced effective population size due to skewed parental and family contributions must be given careful consideration.
Furthermore, most populations have been estimated to experience a recent decline in the effective population size, indicating a possibility of bottleneck effects on the pattern of genetic variation.

Finally, we do a meta-review of both published and unpublished reviews to examine the evidence for a range of strategies designed to overcome supply and demand bottlenecks to effective coverage of interventions that improve child survival, health, and nutrition.
These bottlenecks affected effective health service delivery both at the community and health post level.
