Both functional evenness and functional dispersion were significantly greater in unreported and small-scale fishery catch components compared to reported and industrial catch components for EEZs in 2010 (Table 1; Fig. 4c).
We conducted a multi-scalar computation of Shannon's equitability to assess landform diversity in terms of both abundance and evenness and examined the positioning of monumental earthwork enclosures across north-central Michigan in relation to this measure.
Both algal species evenness and biomass-specific productivity were higher in tide pools with herbivorous snails than pools where snails were absent (Fig. 1).

These effects were opposite for bacteria and fungi: infrequent precipitation regime decreased bacterial evenness and relatedness but increased fungal evenness.
