In addition, in both Ames and CYP450, the two different external subsets show different profiles, indicating that density and predictive performance vary unpredictably with respect to each other.
However, the figure still shows some level of correlation between density and predictive performance.
As a consequence, it is understandable that 3 of those 4 instances are mispredicted, given the theoretical link between data density and predictive confidence.
Future efforts should focus on increasing sampling density and developing predictive models to further quantify and predict the processes that lead to 87Sr/86Sr variability.
