This is in contrast to the study by Tozzi and colleagues [ 10] who found effects of comorbidities of both axis I and axis II on diagnostic crossover.
The study is a randomized experimental trial comparing assessment of Axis I disorders alone with assessment of both Axis I disorders and Axis II disorders.
Taking previous reports into account [ 16], the present results suggest that while the presence of both axis I and axis II comorbidities are linked to ED symptom severity, comorbidities of axis I in particular may affect diagnostic crossover within ED.
