For one thing, there would be no more have-a-banana oompah but, more importantly, the band on Blur sound alive, crackling with ideas and possibilities.
Coxon describes their new music as familiar, but different; there is a trademark Blur sound, yet produced with greater maturity through a fresh process.
Marling isn't struck down by lightning, although when she fluffs a couple of intros and the echoey acoustics sometimes blur the sound, one suspects divine retribution.
