Hierarchical (blocked) linear regression analyses revealed that time spent on Facebook was strongly and significantly negatively related to overall GPA, while only weakly related to time spent preparing for class.
Table 4 shows the NOS factors that were significant in blocked linear regression models to predict primary and secondary outcome measures in the baseline (2008) and postintervention (2010/2011) surveys.

To test the relationship between NOS factors and our primary and secondary outcome measures, we used hierarchical blocked linear regressions, with potentially confounding variables in the first block and independent variables in the second.
Following the standard Aiken and West procedure [ 49], we conducted blocked multiple regressions and Chi-square tests to examine whether the difference in likelihood ratios between the full models including the interaction block (models -A2, -A3, -A4 and -B2, -B3, -B4 in Table 2) and the models without the interaction block (models -A1 and -B1 in Table 2) are statistically significant.
Because the FADD-DD and FADD-DD V108E mutants were equally effective at blocking tumor regression caused by etoposide, we conclude that signaling through TRAIL receptors alone is sufficient to cause these effects.
