There's a distinct nudge of Neil Young and Lucinda Williams, but also a taste of how Le Blanc's voice has developed over the past few years into a sultry, shape-shifting thing of wonder.
"They led off undervaluing what we provide to the video game industry," says JB Blanc, a voice actor and observer on the preliminary negotiations.
"Video games have become immersive – one game is like a 70-hour movie," said JB Blanc, a voice actor and director who has worked on numerous games, including "Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor". "My performance is an indelible print on the game.
During more than 50 years in show business, Blanc provided voices for some 3,000 cartoons produced by various studios, but he is associated most with the work he did for Warner Bros.
Over time, Blanc's reknowned "voice characterizations" became nearly as much a part of his own life as breathing.
In time, Blanc provided the voices for more than 90% of Warner's stable of cartoon characters.
Known as "The Man of 1,000 Voices," Blanc was virtually never seen on the silver screen during the golden era of Merrie Melodies cartoons.
Of course, there are worse things than sitting down in an outdoor amphitheater with a bottle of sav blanc and a beautiful voice.
Blanc junior's app, voiced by Simon Pegg, follows Henri's journey around a vegetable patch and aims to teach children about where food comes from, while encouraging them to help out in the kitchen.
She was employed by all the major studios, though her work for Warner Bros went uncredited, as Blanc's contract gave him voice exclusivity.
