Molson Coors currently produce keg Stones Bitter at their brewery in Tadcaster, and the canned version at their Burton brewery.
The head brewer Edward Tedd" Collins first produced Stones Bitter at the Cannon Brewery in 1948.
"We didn't take up much of [Osborne's] time, but that's good news," said Chris Ives, of the Ilkley Brewery, whose best bitter was the adroitly timed guest draught beer at the Strangers Bar in the Commons last week.

Among British microbrews available in New York, Harviestoun Brewery's grapefruity Bitter & Twisted, Orkney's ruby-hued Red MacGregor and Daleside's mild Old Leg Over exemplify the low-alcohol, full-flavored tradition.
You could do worse than opt for their award-winning Collie-wobbles (3.7%), a pale refreshing bitter brewed in the micro-brewery on site.
"It's a very competitive world," said Iain Wilson, a beer industry analyst for ABN Amro in Amsterdam, noting that while Heineken controls roughly half the domestic Dutch market, it faces bitter competition from three smaller breweries for the remainder.

Today, the brewery creates their best bitter, Wandle, alongside a premium ale, Junction, and a selection of seasonal ales.
Stones Bitter was brewed at the Cannon Brewery from 1948 and was popular with Sheffield's steel workers.
