I have all these bits of makeup in those little plastic bags that you get given when you fly, and I generally put on whatever first comes to hand – a bit of foundation, some eye makeup and some lipgloss – but that's about it.
Note that if you're going to do this step, it's best to be clean-shaven - little bits of makeup will really stick out on stubble.
