Recent advances in next-generation RNA sequencing and high-throughput proteomics have led to the generation of large data sets that require purpose-built and dedicated bioinformatics tools for efficient data mining.
Systems Biology benefits from the continuous advances in the omics sciences, based on high-throughput and high-content technologies, as well as on bioinformatic tools for data mining and integration.
Most significantly, the acquired expertise in biological and mathematical knowledge and computer languages will facilitate mining of high throughput data and information to extract valuable biological meaning, and the development of efficient bioinformatics tools for the analysis, prediction and modeling of these experimental data.
